FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long is the rental?
Ostertag Vistas provides an 11 hour rental for traditional events including a ceremony and reception concluding at 11:00 PM. A last dance can occur at 10:00 PM and the last hour is used for general clean up. Other options such as micro-wedding and an hourly non-wedding event are available.
How about locations to get ready?
There are four locations including a dressing suite in the barn with three rooms including the sky loft, tub, shower, and double vanity, another with a kitchenette, shower, bar, two rooms, slot machine and dart board, the cottage, and a separate dressing room next to a restroom inside the barn.
Are tables and chairs included?
Absolutely and in accordance with our inventory quantities. They are set up and removed for all ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions. There are round and rectangular tables. Chair styles can be upgraded as an option. Also offered are optional farmhouse tables and other rentals if desired.
Where can I get married?
Your ceremony location is completely up to you! You are asked to select a location of your choice for nice weather and our landscaper will groom that location up to 30 days prior to your event and there is ALWAYS an inclement weather plan. If there should be inclement weather, a ceremony in the romantic stable is a popular option, but the great room is a beautiful location as well!
Can I choose my own caterer?
Please see our website for caterers we exclusively have available to you. They represent a wide array of price points and styles and are fully-trained and comfortable working at Ostertag Vistas. You are welcome bring a caterer not on this list if they are comfortable signing Ostertag Vistas’ responsibilities, are fully insured and licensed and able to conduct a site visit. If food should be dropped off, Ostertag Vistas can provide optional serving staff…. All-in-all, very flexible!
Do I need a coordinator?
We’d hate for you to ‘work’ on one of the most special days of your lives. We highly recommend a day-of coordinator from Ostertag Vistas who understands logistics associated with the property and has the ability to respond to quickly-changing needs such as weather. This is a person who pulls details together and can include set up of personal items, facilitation of rehearsal, ceremony and the ability to work across vendors to ensure all elements of your event are happening as planned.
Ostertag Vistas provides a liaison (at no charge) always at your side to ensure guests are comfortable, safe and guided to key locations throughout the day. This person is available to ensure the venue is operating as expected and restrooms are fully stocked throughout the event.
An outside coordination service does not have the insured permission to extend Ostertag services and direct staff and vendors on the property. A client may secure a wedding planner that is hired outside the venue to help personally before and on the day of your wedding. However this person or service is not permitted to “run” the day at Ostertag Vistas.
Are there restrooms on the property?
There are six restrooms available.
How many events can occur in one day?
There is only one event per day which offers the ability to relax.
Does the venue have air conditioning and heating?
The barn is 100% heated. The barn is air conditioned with the exception of the great room and loft.
